Spring Quiet Day 2008

The Spring Quiet Day was held at the Eastern Good Companions Club, St Clement, - a new venue for us. We had the use of a comfortable lounge for the talks, a large hall where we had lunch and where we had lots of space for people to find a quiet corner, use the art materials to be creative, or look at the books available for borrowing or purchase. Several people also took advantage of the nearby beach for a stroll or quiet sit.

The day was led by Rev. Jane Ilton whose theme was 'The Giver of Life'. After each talk Jane gave us helpful handouts with ideas to follow up if we wished.

We closed with brief worship including the singing of  'Praise God from whom all blessings flow'  in 2-part harmony! How fortunate to have good voices amongst the participants providing a fine end to a very fine day. Christine.
